December 16, 2023 - Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Friday December 15th, 2023, at about 1:30 p.m. in the afternoon, TCSO
received a be on the lookout bulletin from Sonora Police Department regarding a missing person, 18-year-old Gabriel Cunningham of Sonora. Through fingerprint comparison TCSO confirmed the previously unidentified male involved in the traffic fatality was Cunningham. Next of kin has been notified.

Original information: TCSO Seeking Information on Identity of Male Struck and Killed by Vehicle in East Sonora
On Friday December 8th, 2023, around midnight, in the area of Highway 108 near Hess Ave., an unidentified male pedestrian stepped into the roadway in front of an SUV and was struck and killed. CHP investigated and determined the driver was not at fault.
After exhausting several leads, the involved male has not been identified. We are releasing the physical descriptors of the involved male in an attempt to obtain leads which may lead to his identification.
The male is described as a fair skin white male with no tattoos or scars. He appears to be between 17-25 years of age, approximately 6’2”, approximately 169 pounds, brown approximately 2” long wavy/straight hair, blue/green eyes. He was last wearing a red windbreaker with gray zipper, gray adidas running pants with three black stripes down the sides and black and white size 11US Fila shoes.
