April 3, 2024 - Merced County Sheriff's Office officials report on Monday night, Deputies were dispatched to Delhi for a missing person. When Deputies arrived, they learned from the family that the missing person was a 59-year-old male, who has dementia and various other medical issues.

The man had not been seen for several hours. Deputies immediately searched the area and were unable to find him.

Deputy Alsup and K9 Cooper arrived and began a track from the residence. While Deputy Alsup and K9 Cooper were actively searching, Dispatcher Wortham was able to provide additional information about where the missing man may be.

Thankfully, K9 Cooper was able to locate the missing person, who was about two miles away from the residence, in a field.
