Caltrans 99 Traffic Advisory

TRAFFIC ADVISORY 
Ramp Closures Scheduled for May 26 - June 1, 2024 

May 24, 2024 – MERCED COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following ramp closures next week on State Route-99 (SR-99) for the Merced 99 Pavement Rehabilitation construction project. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

STATE ROUTE 99

  • Full on- and off-ramp closures on southbound SR-99 at Childs Avenue Over-Crossing for construction beginning Tuesday, May 28, through Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • Full on- and off-ramp closures on northbound SR-99 at Childs Avenue Over-Crossing for construction beginning Tuesday, May 28, through Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • Full on- and off-ramp closures on southbound SR-99 at SR-140/East Separation for construction beginning Tuesday May 28, through Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • Full on- and off-ramp closures on northbound SR-99 at SR-140/East Separation for construction beginning Tuesday May 28, through Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • Full on-ramp closure on southbound SR-99 at G Street Under-Crossing for construction beginning Tuesday May 28, through Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • Full off-ramp closure on northbound SR-99 at G Street Under-Crossing for construction beginning Tuesday May 28, through Saturday, June 1, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

  • Full on-ramp closure on northbound SR-99 at SR-140/59 (V Street) for construction beginning Tuesday May 28, through Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • Full on-ramp closure on southbound SR-99 at 16th Street for construction beginning Tuesday May 28, through Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • Full off-ramp closure on northbound SR-99 at 16th Street for construction beginning Tuesday May 28, through Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • Full on- and off-ramp closures on southbound SR-99 at 16th Street Under-Crossing for construction beginning Tuesday May 28, through Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • Full on- ramp closure on northbound SR-99 at 16th Street Under-Crossing for construction beginning Tuesday May 28, through Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Motorists should expect 5-10 minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to take place as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related issues.
