burn at Lake McClure. Approximately 50 acres of grass will be burned.
The purpose is for the reduction of fuels to create a safe area at and around the peninsula designated for the launch point of fireworks.
CAL FIRE will also be utilizing this as a training opportunity to continue improving wildland firefighting tactics under a controlled environment.
The burn is scheduled to take place June 20.
