July 13, 2024 – Mariposa Safe Families sponsors third annual “2024 Fire & Emergency Preparedness Event” in partnership with the Calaveras-Mariposa Community Action Agency, American Red Cross Central California Region, Mariposa County Health & Human Services, Area 12 Agency On Aging, CAL FIRE Madera-Mariposa-Merced, Mariposa County Fire Department, Mariposa Sheriff’s Posse, Happy Goat, and the Central California Animal Disaster Team.”

The event will take place in the town of Mariposa at the Mariposa Safe Families Empowerment Center (5070 Bullion Street) on Saturday July 13, 2024, from 10:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. This event aims to educate community members on different emergency preparedness steps, techniques and strategies they can take for their family, home, pets, and property to keep safe during emergencies. There will be Raffles, Free LUNCH, and the GRAND PRIZE at each event is a Firman Generator. There will also be free reflective address signs, fire extinguishers, carbon monoxide, smoke detectors, go-bags, and an incredible amount of resource information available to all attendees. We will have fire/emergency apparatus, the Mariposa County Fire Safety Trailer, face painting, and resource booths at the event as well, SO come out and join us and make it a great family day with a little education on the side.

Special Note: Our MSF Team understands that discussing fire and emergency situations/preparedness may be a sensitive topic for some of us, especially right now. Mariposa Safe Families has teamed up with local mental health professionals, who will be joining us for the event and will do our best to be here for you, your friends and loved ones, if needed.
