August 3, 2024 - CAL FIRE officials announced on Friday, the Park Fire, north of Chico, is now the fourth-largest wildfire in California's recorded history.

An all-hands-on-deck approach by CAL FIRE, federal, state, and local partners have allowed the team assigned to reach 24 percent containment, as of  this Aug. 2 post.
