September 4, 2024 – Fresno Police Department officials report that on September 2, 2024, at approximately 5:15 p.m., Asset Protection Officers observed two females concealing merchandise in their purses while inside the WinCo store at 1004 South Peach Avenue. The females walked past the cash registers and out the front doors without paying for the concealed items. Security staff attempted to detain them as they exited the store. The above-shown female displayed a can of OC spray and deployed it towards the face of the security staff to assist in her escape.
