Can you find the stranded hiker?

October 4, 2024 – El Dorado County Sheriff's Office officials report that on October 1, 2024, this hiker found himself above Angora Lakes off trail and stuck on the side of a sheer granite face. He was in a crack with only a small flat area to stand on and unable to go up or down. With over a half million acres of the El Dorado National Forest the “search” in Search and Rescue can be extremely difficult. In this case, both the search and the rescue were a challenging, but he was safely hoisted and returned to the ground.

The hiker is circled in yellow in the second photo.
