October 21, 2024 – CAL FIRE officials report that earlier this month, our CAL FIRE Fresno-Kings Unit Battalion 13 received its first mobile residential fire training prop. This new training tool allows firefighters to practice essential skills in realistic residential fire scenarios.

Mobile residential props provide hands-on experience in key areas such as vertical ventilation, forcible entry, search and rescue, and hose management. Their portability ensures that firefighters have access to this specialized training without leaving their response area, helping them train for future emergencies while being immediately available in the communities they serve.
