November 24, 2024 – Madera County Sheriff's Office officials report that K-9 Obie was released from the hospital.
K-9 Obie Update: We are happy to share the news that Obie has been released from the hospital and taken home. We would like to thank the community for their outpouring of support and well wishes for Obie and our department during this time.
Obie’s remarkable story has had a huge impact on all of us. As he begins his long road to healing, we ask for your continued thoughts as well as privacy for him and his family. We remain indebted to him for his selfless act of bravery and wish him well on his road to recovery.
