Man Arrested Regarding Racial Epithets
December 6, 2024 – Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Thursday, investigators were able to positively identify the subject who was responsible for creating and distributing racial epithets in several parts of the county recently. 39-year-old Anthony Rodriguez of Modesto has been taken into custody for an active arrest warrant for making criminal threats and stalking.
After his arrest, Stanislaus County Deputies served a search warrant at Rodriguez's home. At the home, they located material evidence related to the epithets that had been reported recently. During a follow-up interview, Rodriguez admitted to creating the racial epithets and then posting them around the area. Rodriguez was arrested on a warrant and is currently held on one hundred fifty-thousand-dollar bail ($150,000).
During this investigation, it was also discovered that Anthony Rodriguez had a prior arrest for violation of a civil harassment order where he used racial slurs and derogatory language towards his Hispanic neighbors. These offenses and subsequent arrests were reported to authorities two years ago.
This type of behavior exhibited by Mr. Rodriguez is unacceptable in our community and goes against the values we stand for.
