December 12, 2024 - Sierra National Forest officials remind forest visitors to please be aware that a few roads are coming to the end of their season of use on December 15th. 

A few of the more heavily use routes are 9S09, 9S02 and 25E210. This year we have some snow and a little more is on the way.

The only snow wheeling route open to the Bald Mountain Tower is from Dinkey Creek Road, up Rock Creek to the 26E219.

Please stay on the trail and practice good TREAD LIGHTLY principles. 

The High Sierra Over Snow crew is looking forward to getting the Snow Groomers out as soon as conditions permit.
