Homicide Investigation 

December 13, 2024 – Fresno Police Department officials report that at 4:15 p.m. on December 11, 2024, officers from the Southwest Policing District responded to a report of a shooting victim at 748 East Sampson Avenue. When officers arrived, they found 31-year-old Markazsa Perry suffering from a gunshot wound. Perry was transported to CRMC, but was pronounced deceased a short time later.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene and initiated their investigation. At this time, the motive for the shooting remains undetermined. Detectives are actively canvassing the area for witnesses and reviewing available surveillance camera footage. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this incident to please contact the Fresno Police Department.
