Detectives Arrest Suspect for Robbery & Carjacking 

December 14, 2024 – Fresno County Sheriff's Office officials report that detectives have arrested 27-year-old Gabriel Valdivia of Sanger.  He has been booked into the Fresno County Jail on charges of robbery, auto theft, evading police and being a felon in possession of a gun and ammunition.

On December 11, deputies responded to a call near Dinuba and Clovis Avenues near Fowler.  There they found a victim who had been pistol whipped and had their vehicle stolen.

On December 13, officers with the Reedley Police Department spotted the stolen SUV and attempted to make a traffic stop.  The driver, Gabriel Valdivia, took off and led officers on a pursuit through Selma.  Once in a neighborhood, Valdivia jumped out of the vehicle and ran.  Deputies and officers chased him down and arrested him.  Valdivia, a convicted felon, was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun.
