December 28, 2024 – Mariposa County Library announces a screening of "The Paradise Paradox." Join us at the Wawona Library for a special screening of a groundbreaking film that explores the mental health crisis affecting America’s mountain towns and the innovative solutions being developed in response.

We showed the film The Paradise Paradox at our Mariposa Library and it resonated with viewers. We are going to show this film at the Wawona Bassett Memorial Library located at 7971 Chilnualna Falls Road on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 5:30 p.m.

Executive produced by Olympic ski racer Bode Miller and Emmy Award-winning impact sports filmmaker Brett Rapkin, this explores the mental health crisis affecting America’s mountain towns and the innovative solutions being developed in response. By opening up the conversation, the stigmas can start to melt away and real progress can be made for the citizens of these towns and beyond.
