TCSO Ag Detectives Investigate Rooster-fighting in Delano 

January 6, 2025 – Tulare County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Sunday, Deputies with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office were called to the area of Avenue 16 and Road 176, Delano, regarding a report of possible rooster fighting. 

Several live birds and deceased birds were located and collected by Tulare County Animal Control. Scales, fighting gaffes (knives) and other evidence were collected by TCSO Ag Detectives.

The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind citizens that animal fighting of any kind is a crime, and even observers are subject to criminal charges.
