New Traffic Switch and Avenue 12 Off-Ramp Re-Opening Planned for Thursday Night, at the Cottonwood Creek Bridge Replacement Project, in Madera County 

February 20, 2025 – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), along with Security Paving, announces the new caltrans logotraffic switch and re-opening of the northbound Ave 12 off-ramp. The new switch and off-ramp reopening are scheduled to take place Thursday, February 20th.

The following will occur on Thursday Night, February 20th:

  • The new northbound lanes of State Route 99, at Avenue 12, across Cottonwood Creek, will be open for drivers.

  • The newly constructed Avenue 12 off-ramp, from northbound State Route 99, will also be opened.

  • The planned changes are scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m. Thursday night and last until 5:00 a.m. on Friday morning.

Work may continue for longer periods of time due to delays caused by weather or other uncontrollable events that may occur.

Caltrans reminds you to drive with extra care and allow additional time while travelling near construction zones. Please be alert for construction personnel and remember to “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
