Modesto Police Detectives Arrest Suspect in Campus Sexual Battery 

February 21, 2025 – Modesto Police Departments officials report that Detectives with the Modesto Police Departments Violent Crimes Unit have arrested 18-year-old Jasiah Estrada of Madera, CA, in connection with a sexual battery incident.

On Tuesday, February 18, Modesto Police officers responded to Modesto Junior College West Campus after an adult female student reported being grabbed by an unknown male. The victim escaped unharmed and immediately notified campus security, who contacted MPD.

Detectives reviewed surveillance footage from a local business, which helped identify the suspect. An arrest warrant was issued for Estrada, who is not currently enrolled as a student at Modesto Junior College. Estrada was located and taken into custody without incident by Detectives. He was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on sexual battery charges and probation violations.
