February 23, 2025 – El Dorado County Sheriff's Office officials report that on February 22, 2025, at around 1:42 p.m. El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office Central Dispatch received a call from an individual who reported a shooting inside of a residence in the 5500 block of Crossbill Lane, Diamond Springs, CA. Deputies from the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office immediately responded to the location of the call. 

Deputies entered the residence where they located an elderly male and an elderly female who were both deceased. Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to assist with the investigation. Based on all information at this time, the Sheriff’s Office does not believe there is any threat to the community and there are no outstanding subjects in this investigation. 

Currently this incident is an active investigation, and no further information will be released.
