Merced Business Owner Arrested for Illegal Gambling Operation 

March 5, 2025 – Merced, CA – Merced Police Department officials report that a Merced business owner was arrested for operating an illegal gambling enterprise at Cell Kings, located in the 1500 block of E. Yosemite Parkway.

On March 4, 2025, Detective Levi Crain conducted a follow-up investigation in response to multiple complaints regarding illegal gambling activities occurring within the business. Based on the findings, detectives obtained and executed a search warrant at the location.

During the search, investigators and officers with the DART team discovered a dedicated room containing multiple gambling machines. Cash from the machines and additional funds found within the business were seized, along with the gambling machines themselves. The business owner, Arshvir Singh (43), was taken into custody on multiple charges related to illegal gambling and subsequently booked into the Merced County Jail.
