Two Arrested, Two Outstanding, 15 Firearms Seized in Long-Term Firearms Investigation 

March 11, 2025 – Fresno Police Department officials report that on March 5, 2025, Central Valley Crime Gun Task Force detectives, along with the assistance of several allied law enforcement agencies, conducted three search warrants as part of a long-term investigation targeting gang members and the illegal manufacturing and sale of firearms.  One search warrant was served in the City of Fresno, and two in the City of Selma.  As a result of the search warrants, detectives seized 15 firearms, silencers, machine gun components, firearm manufacturing equipment, ammunition, narcotics, and U.S. currency.

Four suspects were identified during the investigation.  Two suspects, 26-year-old Jesus Cardenas, and 40-year-old Frank Alvarez, were arrested and booked at the Fresno County Jail on weapons and drug-related charges.  Two additional subjects, 20-year-old Adrian Cardenas, and 37-year-old Armando Flores, remain at large and are wanted in connection with this case. 

The following law enforcement agencies assisted Fresno Police Department detectives during this investigation: Selma Police Department, Fresno County Sheriff’s Department, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) SWAT Team, and the Special Services Unit.
