UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE WEEKLY CLAIMS - SEASONALLY ADJUSTED DATA

March 13, 2025 - In the week ending March 8, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 220,000, a decrease of 2,000 from the department of labor seal logoprevious week's revised level. The previous week's level was revised up by 1,000 from 221,000 to 222,000. The 4-week moving average was 226,000, an increase of 1,500 from the previous week's revised average. The previous week's average was revised up by 250 from 224,250 to 224,500

The advance seasonally adjusted insured unemployment rate was 1.2 percent for the week ending March 1, unchanged from the previous week's unrevised rate. The advance number for seasonally adjusted insured unemployment during the week ending March 1 was 1,870,000, a decrease of 27,000 from the previous week's unrevised level of 1,897,000. The 4- week moving average was 1,872,250, an increase of 6,250 from the previous week's unrevised average of 1,866,000
