March 29, 2025 – Fresno Police Department officials report that Northwest District Safety Team officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation in the area of Shaw Avenue and Hughes Avenue. As officers approached the vehicle they observed drug paraphernalia in plain view. Upon further search of the vehicle, officers located a loaded firearm, narcotics, a scale, and currency indicative of drug sales. 

The driver is a convicted felon and was arrested for numerous gun and drug charges. The passenger had multiple misdemeanor warrants related to petty theft and hit-and-run. Both suspects were arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail, and the car was towed.
