April 5, 2025 – Fresno County Sheriff’s Office officials report that at 8:45 p.m. on Friday, dispatchers with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office received a report of shots fired on Ormus Ave., south of Bowles Ave.  Deputies arrived and found a man in his late 30s with an obvious gunshot wound.  He was pronounced deceased on the street. 

Detectives are reviewing evidence and interviewing people in nearby homes to try and learn what may have led to the shooting.  No suspect has been identified and the name of the victim is not available for release.
