April 11, 2025 – Mariposa Safe Families announces Safe Sitter Training opportunity for Mariposa Youth on Saturday April 26, 2025, at 5070 Bullion Street in Mariposa from 10:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Mariposa Safe Families is thrilled to again be offering Safe Sitter Training for Mariposa youth in 6th grade and above! This nationally recognized program equips young individuals with the skills and confidence to safely care for younger children. 

Join us for this six-hour course that is designed to prepare students to be safe when they're home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. This instructor-led class is filled with fun games and role-playing exercises. Students will earn a certificate upon completion. *Geared towards youth 6th grade and above! 

What they’ll learn: 

Basic childcare techniques

Emergency response skills

CPR and first aid basics

How to handle challenging situations with ease
