April 16, 2025 – Mariposa County Library officials announce that the library will be hosting a Literacy Open House & Volunteer Appreciation event on Wednesday, April 30. At this event, guests can learn about the library's literacy grant funding and how it is used to benefit the community. The library has tutors trained and ready to help with people's literacy needs. This is an opportunity to learn how to get involved. The volunteers and workers who help with this program, as well as other library volunteers will be on hand. 

The literacy program can help adults in the community with:

• Improving their reading skills
• Learning new skills (3D printing, technology)
• Earning high school diplomas

Bring your family and friends for a fun evening of games, refreshments, raffle prizes, and more! It all takes place from 5:00 P.M. - 6:30 P.M. on the evening of Wednesday, April 30. The library is located at 4978 10th Street in Mariposa.
