May 19, 2025 - Officials from the California Air Resources Board (CARB) will hold a media briefing this Wednesday to discuss the relaunch of the second application window for its E-Bike Incentive Project, as well as technical changes made to ensure the successful distribution of vouchers for income-eligible Californians to receive up to $2,000 toward the purchase of a new electric bike.

The second application window was originally scheduled last month, but was rescheduled by CARB and its program administrator after the program website experienced a high volume of traffic and detected suspicious activity. The second application window is now set for May 29 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

During the briefing, CARB officials will discuss the E-Bike Incentive Project, recent technical changes made to ensure a successful second application window, and what lies ahead for the program.

When: Wednesday, May 21, 2025, 10:00-11:00 a.m.

CARB's mission is to promote and protect public health, welfare, and ecological resources through effective reduction of air pollutants while recognizing and considering effects on the economy. CARB is the lead agency for climate change programs and oversees all air pollution control efforts in California to attain and maintain health-based air quality standards.
