May 23, 2025 – Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office officials announce Mariposa County Sheriff’s Foundation receives 2025 Non-Profit of the Year.
We’re incredibly proud to share that the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Foundation has been chosen by Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil as the 2025 Non-Profit of the Year!
To celebrate this amazing honor, Sheriff Jeremy Briese and Foundation President Brandon Hatcher traveled to Sacramento, where they were recognized on the Senate floor and received an official resolution highlighting the Foundation’s impact. It was a special moment to see Mariposa County represented at the state level for the incredible work being done right here in our own community.
In just three years, the Foundation has become a lifeline for so many, thanks to a small group of dedicated volunteers and an incredibly supportive community, it’s become a powerful force for good.
They supported our youth with scholarships for graduating seniors and helped local sports teams with brand new baseball jerseys. They’ve been there for families who lost everything in the Oak Fire and stood beside our Sheriff’s Office staff through illness and personal hardships, recognizing staff for their dedicated service at the Annual Awards Gala.
This Foundation is about people helping people and connecting our Staff with the community they serve. Whether it’s funding vital training and equipment for deputies, helping families in crisis, or bringing the community together through events and outreach like Operation Turkey and Easter, the Foundation has stepped up in every way.
This is what it looks like when a community rallies behind one mission, to take care of one another and build a stronger, safer Mariposa County.
We are so thankful to Senator Alvarado-Gil for recognizing the power of rural partnerships. She listens, she shows up, and she works with us to find real solutions. Her support means everything.
To everyone who’s donated, volunteered, or supported our Sheriff’s Foundation efforts, this honor belongs to you too. Let’s keep this momentum going.
