Special Victims Unit Arrests Suspect in Home Invasion and Assault

May 31, 2025 – Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on May 21, 2025, at approximately 12:20 a.m., Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a 911 call reporting an intruder at a residence in Ceres. The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Cristian Alejandro Solorio Anguiano of Modesto, allegedly entered the home while the female victim was asleep. Once inside, the suspect is accused of engaging in an assault by biting and licking the victim's toes, then attempting to get into the bed. The victim was able to push the suspect off and immediately contacted law enforcement. Anguiano fled the scene prior to deputies' arrival.

An investigation revealed that Anguiano had allegedly begun stalking the victim at her place of work as early as February 2025. Despite multiple confrontations by store employees, his behavior escalated. He reportedly followed the victim home after her shifts and began sleeping in his vehicle outside her residence, including in the alleyway behind her home. Over the course of the week leading up to the incident, Anguiano was observed watching family members depart the residence and checking doors to gain access.

Through victim statements and video surveillance evidence, Special Victims Unit investigators were able to positively identify Anguiano as the suspect. On May 22, 2025, investigators located Anguiano in the vicinity of the victim’s residence and took him into custody without incident.

Anguiano has been booked into the Stanislaus County Jail on charges of:

  • 459 PC – Burglary
  • 646.9(a) PC – Stalking
  • 243.4(e)(1) PC – Sexual Battery
  • 220(a)(1) PC – Assault with Intent to Commit a Felony

He is currently being held on $325,000 bail.

The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office commends the victim’s courage in swiftly reporting the incident and urges the community to remain vigilant. If you observe suspicious behavior or believe you are being targeted, do not hesitate to contact law enforcement immediately. Your safety is our top priority.
