Shooting #1 

May 31, 2025 – Fresno Police Department officials report that on May 10, 2025, officers responded to the area of Marks Avenue and Alamos Avenue for a 1-round ShotSpotter activation. Officers contacted the residents of the home and confirmed no one was injured. Officers learned that the female intended victim and a female suspect, identified as Destiny Perez, were known to each other. As the victim was standing by the front door, Suspect Perez handed a firearm to a second female suspect, identified as Esbeydi Flores, and told her to shoot the victim. The victim was able to run away and avoid being wounded.

Shooting #2 

On May 13, 2025, officers responded to a 3-round ShotSpotter activation. Officers discovered it was the same victim as the prior incident. The victim’s residence was struck three times by gunfire and multiple casings were located.

Detectives were able to successfully apprehend both suspects.

Perez was arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail for PC 245(a)(2), PC 246 and PC 182(a)(1).

Flores was arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail for PC 246, 245(a)(2), and PC 12022.5.
