June 6, 2025 – Fresno Police Department officials report that they are seeking assistance from the community with information on the death of 24-year-old Taylor Washington (pictured below), who was shot and killed on Thursday, April 10, 2025, in the area of Bardell Avenue and George Avenue. Officers responded at 5:07 p.m. to a ShotSpotter activation near the intersection indicating multiple rounds were fired and found Washington suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to CRMC, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Detectives from the Fresno Police Department’s Homicide Unit responded to the scene and initiated an investigation into the shooting.  Evidence at the scene suggests Washington was shot near the intersection of Bardell Avenue and George Avenue, where he fled on foot before collapsing in a nearby backyard.  Detectives recovered several shell casings at the scene and located multiple vehicles struck by gunfire.

At this time, no arrests have been made, and the suspect remains unknown. Detectives have been actively pursuing leads in this case and believe several others were in the area when the shooting took place.  Detectives are urging anyone who was present or who has any information regarding the shooting to please call the Fresno Police Department.
