June 19, 2025 – John C. Fremont Hospital Foundation officials announce that they recently awarded Arminda Trumm a $1,000 scholarship as she works to complete her two-year Associate's Degree in Nursing. Arminda is currently a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the Acute department of the John C. Fremont Healthcare District, where she has worked for nearly two years. She plans to stay at the hospital, given her belief that it is a vital asset to Mariposa.

In Arminda's words: "My motivation to pursue a career in healthcare began during my time in the military. After sustaining an injury, I experienced both the positive and negative sides of patient care. I saw firsthand how a good nurse could offer not only excellent medical care but also compassion, support, and dignity during vulnerable moments. I also witnessed how a lack of empathy or attention could deeply affect a patient's recovery and overall experience. That contrast made a lasting impression on me and sparked a desire to become the kind of nurse who truly makes a difference. Since then, I've found purpose in caring for our seniors and military veterans here at John C. Fremont Healthcare District. It's incredibly rewarding to give back to those who have given so much, and I take great pride in serving this community. The connections we make with our patients and the support we provide are what make this place so special. I want to continue being a part of that and helping our community thrive."
