Fresno Police Helicopter Helps Deputies Capture Shooting Suspect

July 1, 2025 – Fresno County Sheriff’s Office officials report that Deputies with the Sheriff’s Office have arrested 37-year-old FCSO arrest HallBrian Hall of Auberry.  He has been booked into the Fresno County Jail on felony charges of evading police and assault with a firearm.  His bail is set at $235,000.

Around 7:30 a.m. on June 28th, deputies responded to a shooting call on the 33000 block of Auberry Road.  Deputies arrived and found a woman suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.  Paramedics transferred her to the hospital for treatment.

During the investigation, deputies determined the shooter was a man known to the woman.  His name being Brian Hall.  Detectives with the Sheriff’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (ViCAT) were contacted and took over the investigation to search for Hall.

Later that night, detectives developed information that Hall was in the city of Fresno.  The Fresno Police Department helicopter, Air 1, was dispatched to search an area and found a white Chevrolet Tahoe that matched that of Hall’s.  Marked patrol units arrived in the area and attempted to make a traffic stop on the SUV.  However, the driver later confirmed to be Brian Hall, refused to pull over.  He drove recklessly and ran multiple red lights.  As a safety measure, Air 1 utilized its spotlight to illuminate the vehicle so that other motorists would be aware the vehicle was wanted by law enforcement.  Hall, who reached speeds up to 100 mph, eventually made his way to Auberry and Millerton Roads, where his vehicle ran out of gas.  Once stopped, Hall exited his SUV and deputies took him into custody.

Although an arrest has been made, if you have additional information about Brian Hall, please contact the Sheriff’s Office at (559) 600-3111, Valley Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-7867 or www.valleycrimestoppers.org.  You will remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.  Reference case #25-6552.
