Deputy Assaulted During Arrest of Wanted Felon 

July 6, 2025 – Madera County Sheriff's Office officials report that on July 1st just after 9:30 a.m., one of our Deputies was injured after being violently assaulted while attempting to arrest a wanted felon near the Fresno River and 145.

The suspect, Felix Adrian Nucamendi Carrasco, was later apprehended by our team following a coordinated search effort. Methamphetamine-related items were recovered at his encampment.

He now faces multiple charges.

“Our deputies stand ready to protect this community—even when danger is unpredictable,” shared Sheriff Tyson Pogue.
