July 26, 2025 – Tulare County Sheriff’s Office officials announce it is with deep regret, Sheriff Mike Boudreaux announces the death of Retired Sergeant Harold Wayne Lansford on July 15 in San Antonio, Texas. He was 86.

Sergeant Lansford worked for the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office for 15 years beginning in 1962. His wife of 64 years, Zelma, said his time at TCSO was the highlight of his life. Before he was hired at the Sheriff’s Office, he served in the U.S. Air Force.

In addition to Zelma, he is survived by his daughters, Cindy and Kristi, three grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Sergeant Lansford’s funeral will be private.
