Oak Room Exit Leads to DUI Arrest
August 18, 2025 – Oakhurst CHP officials report that on Saturday at 5:00 P.M., a 67-year-old Oakhurst man left the Oak Room bar in a Ford pickup and attempted to exit onto SR-41. He failed to yield the right of way to a 19-year-old Oakhurst man driving a Dodge pickup northbound. The two vehicles crashed, and all involved sustained minor injuries.
The 67-year-old driver of the Ford was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
Driving under the influence is never worth the risk. A split-second decision can change lives forever. Thankfully, everyone walked away from this crash with only minor injuries, but it could have been much worse.
Safety Reminder: If you choose to drink, choose not to drive. Call a friend, use a rideshare, or make a plan before you start drinking. Your decisions behind the wheel don’t just affect you, they affect everyone on the road.
