Detectives Searching for Wanted Assault Suspect 

August 21, 2025 – Fresno County Sheriff's Office officials report that detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (ViCAT) are searching for 27-year-old Robert Rios of Auberry.  He is wanted on arrest warrants for assault, burglary and drug possession.

On June 6, 2025, deputies responded to Mono Wind Casino for a report of a domestic disturbance.  Deputies contacted a woman who had been punched, choked and dragged on the ground.  The investigation determined Robert Rios was the man responsible for this assault.  He fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.

Robert Rios is 5’8”, 240 lbs., with green eyes and brown hair.
