August 25, 2025 - SONORA, California  – Across the Stanislaus National Forest, firefighters are responding to multiple Stanislaus National Forest fire graphicstarts across the entire forest.

Twomile Fire – south of Hull Creek Campground on the Summit Ranger district the fire is ΒΌ acre with a moderate rate of spread. The crew on scene report two-foot flame lengths. An additional engine has been requested. No lives  or structures are threatened at this time.  Map Link

Jawbone Fire – roughly between Bourland and Bell Mountain, initial size up estimate the fire at one acre with a slow rate of spread. No lives or structures are threatened at this time. Map Link

Bull Fire - Burning on the Calaveras District in the Emigrant Wilderness, initial size up of the fire put it at 50 ft x 50 ft, burning in brush and timber with a slow rate of spread. Map Link

Earlier today crews on the Groveland District responded to a brush fire near Brush Ridge. Crews were able to quickly get hose around the fire perimeter and the fire is now contained.
