August 28, 2025 – Sonora Police Department officials report that at approximately 6:12 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, officers responded to Sonora PD arrestWalmart for a report of a man, later identified as 44-year-old Floyd Crow, pushing out a cart of unpaid items from the store. Crow left the area in his vehicle, and responding officers soon located his vehicle on Mono Way at Tuolumne Road. A traffic stop was conducted. The investigation concluded with an arrest for shoplifting just over $1,000 worth of unpaid merchandise. The value of stolen merchandise resulted in felony charges. Crow was booked at the county jail with incident.

It’s important to remember that the individuals mentioned in the report were arrested based on suspicion of the crimes they’ve been charged with. All such charges are all mere allegations, and all defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty. This principal is the bedrock of our legal system and should be respected by all.
