Caltrans traffic advisoryTRAFFIC ADVISORY 
One-Way Traffic Control for September 14-20, 2025 

September 12, 2025 – MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following traffic controls on State Route 49 (SR-49) in Mariposa County. Work is scheduled as follows:

STATE ROUTE 49

  • One-way traffic control from Stumpfield Mountain Road to Tiptop-Usona Road for utility work on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Harris Road to Stockton Creek Bridge for tree work beginning Monday, September 15, 2025, through Friday, September 19, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-10 minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to take place as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials and construction related issues.
