October 21, 2025 - Sonora, CA. – Citing both recent and predicted precipitation as well as generally cooler over-night temperatures, fire managers with the Stanislaus National Forest have terminated fire restriction orders in High and Moderate Hazard Areas: Forest Orders STF-16-2025 11 and 14.

Current Burning Index and Energy Release Component are well below thresholds with expected weather forecasts to bring more rain to the lower elevations and an abundance of snow in the higher elevations,” noted Deputy Forest Fire Management Officer, Clint Gould.

Questions or concerns should be directed to Forest Public Affairs Officer, Benjamin Cossel, benjamin.cossel@usda.gov or 209-288-6261.
