Update 2130 - Engine 313 will remain on scene overnight

Update 1835 - firefighters have line around fire, mapped at 1.22 acre

October 22, 2025 - Sonora, CA – Firefighters with the Stanislaus National Forest’s Mi-Wok/Summit Ranger Distrct are responding to a wildfire southwest of Fraiser Flat Campground across the highway from the Peter Pam neighborhood. No homes or structures are threatened at this time.

 “What we’ve got are large machine piles with about half an acre of growth outside those piles,” explained Summit District Fire Management Officer, Shaun Craig.

Currently on scene are three engines, one water tender and aviation resources.

                The fire was determined to be human caused and is still under investigation.

                As of 5:49 p.m. fire crews have line around the fire.
