Modesto Driver Dies Following October 25th Collision
November 4, 2025 – Modesto Police Department officials report that on Saturday, October 25, 2025, shortly before 8:00 a.m., Modesto Police officers responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Pelandale Avenue and Prescott Road.
Upon arrival, officers found two vehicles that had collided within the intersection. One driver was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, while the other sustained minor injuries.
Preliminary findings indicate that a 2005 Honda Accord was traveling northbound on Prescott Road when it collided with a 2009 Nissan Cube traveling eastbound on Pelandale Avenue. The impact caused the driver of the Nissan Cube to be ejected from the vehicle. Bystanders immediately began CPR until medics arrived and transported him to the hospital in critical condition.
On November 2nd investigators from the Modesto Police Traffic Safety Unit were notified that the driver had succumbed to his injuries.
Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor.
