November 15, 2025 – Fresno County Sheriff's Office officials report that at around 11:30 a.m. on Friday, dispatchers with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a person suffering from a gunshot wound.  Deputies responded to the area to search for a victim.

Around 12:20 p.m., a CHP officer assisting on the call, discovered an injured person along Old Auberry Road, just north of Auberry Road.  The person was determined to be deceased.  Sheriff’s homicide detectives and our Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene to begin an investigation.

The identity of the victim and specific nature of their injuries are not being released at this time.
