Firewood Reminders 

November 19, 2025 – Mariposa County officials announce an important reminder for those who are planning to purchase firewood this winter.

• Get a receipt, it is required by law
• If paying with a check, write in the memo line
• Measure the wood at delivery or pick up
• Only buy firewood by the cord, fraction of cord, or cubic foot

Think you were shorted? Do not burn any wood and call the Department of Weights and Measures.
