Three in five say the country is headed off on the wrong track, unchanged from last month.

President Donald Trump’s approval rating has fallen to 38%, the lowest level of his second term, driven by a five-point drop among Republicans. 

Four in five Republicans approve of how Trump is handling his job as president, a slight softening from last month.

Fewer than one in three independents approve of his job performance.

Democrats overwhelmingly disapprove of the president’s job performance.
