September 13, 2014 - The Sheriff’s Office received a call on Friday, September 12, 2014 about a fight in Oakhurst shortly after 9:30 PM. When they arrived, Deputies found two men on the ground in the backyard of a residence, located on Canoga Drive.
Steven George Rhoan, 50, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other man, 39, was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The Sheriff’s Office confirms both men knew each other and both had reportedly been drinking.
The investigation is ongoing.
This is Madera County Sheriff’s second homicide this year.
