12/4/2025 Update Per Plumas County Sheriff’s Office: Missing Person Located 

The Plumas County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to report that Cheryl Taddei has been located safe in Lake County.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Lake County Sheriff's Office, our partner agencies, and the community for their assistance and shared awareness during this investigation. We would also like to thank Cheryl’s father for his cooperation and support throughout the search.

The Plumas County Sheriff’s Office appreciates the public’s help in bringing this matter to a safe resolution.


Missing Person Update – Cheryl Taddei 

December 2, 2025 – Plumas County Sheriff’s Office officials report that they are providing an update regarding missing person Cheryl Taddei.

After further investigation, Cheryl was last seen on November 21, 2025, leaving a residence on Second Street in Upper Lake, Lake County. She was pushing a shopping cart, carrying bags, accompanied by her tan Chihuahua, and wearing a t-shirt, blue denim skirt, and black slip-on shoes.

Thanks to a Lake County deputy, he confirmed Cheryl stayed at the location on November 20 and November 21 before leaving the property on foot. She left behind personal property and her cell phone, which have been recovered for safekeeping. No evidence of foul play was found at the residence.

Cheryl suffers from a traumatic brain injury and may be confused or disoriented. Her safety and welfare are a priority.
