A Possible DUI Driver Leads to Multiple Drug Charges 

December 5, 2025 – Sonora Police Department officials report that on November 28, 2025, at 1:09 a.m., officers with the Sonora Police Department responded to the area of South Washington Street and Elkin Street for reports of a possible DUI driver. Officers were notified that the vehicle was last seen pulling into AMPM on Pesce Way.

Officers soon located a vehicle matching the description. Officers saw a male, identified as 24-year-old Ramiro Menera-Garcia, from Sacramento, get out of the vehicle. As officers were talking to Ramiro, officers located a female, identified as 20-year-old Presillah Moreno-Medrano, from Sacramento, asleep in the back seat with paraphernalia in plain view.

Officers detained a third person, 27-year-old Marissa Moreno-Medrano, from Sonora, who was inside the AMPM.

Officers with the Sonora Police Department seized 3.36 grams of fentanyl, .77 grams of Xanax, and other various amounts of narcotics along with drug tools used for narcotic sales.

All three individuals were charged with multiple Felony and misdemeanor drug-related charges. Ramiro, Presillah, and Marissa were transported to the Tuolumne County Jail.

It’s important to remember that the individuals mentioned in this report were arrested based on suspicion of the crimes they’ve been charged with. All such charges are mere allegations, and all defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty.
