Want to try something new in the New Year?
December 13, 2025 – Mariposa County Library officials announce that community member Tove Beatty is starting a Community Writing Group that will meet from 5:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. in the Community Room of the Mariposa Library on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, beginning on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

This group is geared towards intermediate level writers with previous writing experience. The group will focus on fiction and memoir writing.
Tove Beatty is a professional grant writer and former editor for Wisdom Books, Mandala Magazine, REED Magazine, and the author of award-winning fiction and poetry.
Although this isn't a library-sponsored program, we are excited to see the community room being used for this purpose. Be sure to contact Tove with any additional questions.
